Our Staff

Kate Knox (she/her) is the Head Editor of the 2021 Image Tree. She's a remote third-year English major with an art minor, and she loves watching YouTube and taking her dog Dodger on walks in her free time. She was super excited to see that the English Department wanted to bring the Image Tree back, and was honored to be asked to lead the staff. She wanted to be a part of this project because she loves the way the Image Tree creates a community of creatives and how it encourages people to submit in a variety of mediums.

Erica Little (she/her) is a second-year student at Cottey College, getting ready to graduate this spring. She is looking forward to continuing her education towards a degree in Journalism at Mizzou next fall--very exciting times! She is part of the creative team for this year's Image Tree and has been diligently working on getting this website up and running. Having an online version of Cottey's publication is something new for everyone, and it is just one of the ways that the Image Tree staff has been dealing with these "uncertain times."

Cheyenne Main (she/her) is a second year Cottey student, majoring in English with a minor in History. She works on the Communications team, and loves reading and writing. Her favorite part of working on this journal has been getting the opportunity to work with others and post the incredible pieces Cottey students have created this year.

Janet Reed (she/her) is the faculty sponsor of The Image Tree, a job made easier by the fantastic work of this incredible staff. She teaches creative writing for Cottey College. She is the author of Blue Exhaust (FLP, 2019) and is currently working on an MFA in Creative Writing -- Poetry at the University of Missouri Kansas City. She also holds an MA in English - Literature Emphasis from Pittsburg State University.

Rae Stuits (they/them) is a second-year at Cottey, majoring in Organizational Leadership and minoring in Psychology. They wanted to be a part of a team working together to create something for their entire campus to enjoy and/or participate in and was excited to get some new experiences while doing so. Working on the Image Tree was a first for them, but they really enjoyed putting it together with their talented team.
