Safe

04/18/2022

I used pencil and pen to create a piece about vulnerability and the illusion of safety. While being vulnerable in what is labeled as a safe space, you have to hope that said space was designed in a way to not use that vulnerability against you. In this piece, though the door does open from both sides, there is no way for the water to drain. The longer she spends trusting a false space, the larger the flood will be when she leaves.
